Are you a sheet metal worker looking to improve your workplace?

Here are just some of the benefits you and your co-workers would gain by organizing with Local 19.

Better pay.

We lead the industry in providing family-sustaining wages for working people.

Better health care benefits.

Get comprehensive health care coverage, from dental to vision. Our package covers most visits and co-pays for you and your whole family.

Better retirement benefits.

Through our pension and annuity plans, retire with dignity at the end of your career. See your benefits increase with each paycheck and get help from our experts about retirement decisions.

Free training.

Looking to explore a new area of the training or sharpen your skills? Come to one of our two state-of-the-art training centers for free courses to stretch your skills.

Safety emphasis.

Our #1 priority is worker safety. We fund or subsidize courses such as Construction OSHA 10, OSHA 30 Safety and CPR/First Aid. We monitor job sites and work closely with contractors to ensure you are not at risk.

Under a union contract, all workers at the same skill level receive the same pay grade. Union companies historically have better morale and less employee turnover. Job classifications and fair wages are standardized. A grievance procedure is in place to help mediate conflicts.
